About Me

I was born in the UK but moved to South Africa when I was six years old. South Africa is a part of me - it is home. It is where I grew up, where I formed a deep connection to nature, community, and myself. It is also the inspiration behind the name of my practice, MUTI.

In many African cultures, muti refers to natural healing and the wisdom found in nature. For me, the name represents something even deeper – the feeling of coming home to yourself.

As a mother, I have experienced life filled with love, joy, challenges, and many lessons. For over twelve years, I raised my three daughters as a single mum, an experience that taught me resilience, strength, and the importance of finding balance through life's ups and downs. Today, I am grateful to share life with my husband Andrew and our four daughters.

Following the birth of my third daughter, I experienced significant health challenges that affected many aspects of my life. Over the years, I often found myself feeling disconnected from my body and overwhelmed by the demands of modern life. Like so many people, I longed for moments of stillness – a chance to slow down, breathe, and simply be.

When I discovered Spinal Flow Technique, something shifted.

It gave my body the opportunity to switch off from the constant stress and noise of everyday life and reconnect with its natural ability to heal and regulate. More than anything, it helped me feel at home within myself again – a feeling I hadn't realised I had been missing.

That experience inspired me to become a Spinal Flow Practitioner.

I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where others can reconnect with themselves, release what no longer serves them, and experience greater ease, balance and wellbeing. I believe that when the body is given the opportunity to do what it was designed to do, remarkable changes can happen.

My goal is not simply to help people feel better, but to help them become the best version of themselves – more connected, more present, and more able to live the life they truly want to live.

I look forward to being part of your journey!

Why MUTI?

The word muti comes from the Zulu tradition of natural healing, a belief that the body already knows how to restore itself, and that true medicine works with that wisdom rather than against it. It's a philosophy that sits at the heart of my practice: that healing isn't something done to you, but something gently invited from within you. Spinal Flow is the tool; your own nervous system does the rest.
